Oil & Gas Topside
Corrosive environment, weight and space constrictions, mercurial weather conditions, transport problems, and high costs – demand extreme reliability. Cornerstone Valve has solutions for your most extreme topside challenges: 1. Marine Environment - Frequent replacement costs are unacceptable offshore. For protection in salt water / salt air atmospheres, valve internal sealing surfaces need to be overlaid with a corrosion resistant alloy. Cornerstone can provide this feature on any of our products. 2. Weight & Space - Hub end connection valves reduce the overall weight. Using non flanged connections, Cornerstone can provide valves with a shorter face-to-face, requiring less space. 3. Reliability - Valves installed on platforms need to be tested in accordance with API 6A PSL 3 requirements (hydro-static). Also, multiple holding times for pressure envelopes and multiple seat tests at full differential pressures applied to each seat are specified. Cornerstone Engineers it's valves to exceed these rigorous standards. 4. Serviceability - Our top-entry trunnion mounted valve design with the in-line serviceable feature allows all internal components to be serviced without removing the entire valve from the line – saving hours of production down-time. CASE STUDY
Cornerstone encouraged a major Oil/Gas producing customer to utilize the Top Entry, In-Line Serviceable Valves with Integral Hub Ends. The resulting skids took advantage of these valve features by carefully planning space for internal removal and reinstallation of valves and saved an additional service level in the major skids. The installation of 140+ high pressure valves saved more than 100 tons of weight. In a budget to float each pound at $2.30 per pound, total savings exceeded $460,000. |
